Uso di socket RAW TCP

Uso di socket RAW UDP
Per l'impiego con applicazioni UDP, i server IOLAN di Perle sono in grado di convertire i dati dei dispositivi seriali per il trasporto con pacchetti UDP in modalità point-to-point o in condivisione con più dispositivi.
Accesso alla console
Gestione della console
Per l'accesso alle porte console remote dei router, degli switch e simili, i server IOLAN di Perle consentono agli amministratori di accedere in modo sicuro alle porte RS232 in-band tramite Reverse Telnet / SSH o out-of-band tramite modem dial-up. Sono disponibili modelli di server IOLAN dotati di modem integrato.
COM/TTY
Connessione di applicazioni seriali con un driver per porta COM/TTY
Le porte seriali si possono collegare ai server o alle stazioni di lavoro di rete mediante il software TruePort di Perle che funziona come una porta COM virtuale. Le sessioni si possono avviare sia dal server IOLAN Perle, sia da TruePort.

Tunneling
Tunneling seriale tra due dispositivi seriali
Il tunneling seriale consente di stabilire un collegamento Ethernet a una porta seriale di un'altra unità IOLAN. Le porte seriali dei due server IOLAN devono essere entrambe configurate per il tunneling seriale (solitamente una porta seriale è configurata come server di tunneling e l'altra come client di tunneling).

Virtual Modem
Virtual Modem (Ethernet Modem)
Consente all'adattatore da seriale a Ethernet di simulare una connessione via modem. Quando il modem virtuale viene collegato al server IOLAN e avvia una connessione modem, il server IOLAN stabilisce una connessione TCP con un altro adattatore IOLAN da seriale a Ethernet configurato con una porta seriale modem virtuale o con un host su cui è in esecuzione un'applicazione TCP.
